Mr. Katsanos is a well-known aeronautical engineer, working with the Brazilian aerospace and defense industries for the last 40 years.
He worked for Embraer from 1983 to 2007. He held various positions in the company, as flight test engineer, market intelligence manager, commercial and defense sales engineering manager, sales strategy director and market strategy vice-president for the defense and government segments. He led the teams responsible for product definition and commercialization of several products such as the Super Tucano and intelligence aircraft.
Participated in several overseas sales campaigns and discussions of strategic partnerships. His last major work at Embraer in 2007 was the KC-390 aircraft program business plan and market study.
Since 2008, he provides consulting services in strategies and market intelligence, strategic planning, and business development for aerospace companies in Brazil and abroad. He worked for Saab as strategic consultant for the sale of the Gripen fighter for the Brazilian Air Force. He writes technical articles in specialized aviation magazines.
He has been working as a consultant to Gehr in many programs in the last 10 years.
